LSC provides a hierarchical storage management (HSM) product called Storage and Archive Manager File System (SAM-FS) to provide network administrators with solutions to data storage management.

SAM-FS is UNIX-compatible and provides extensions to the normal UNIX file system along with a rich set of data storage management features (including hierarchical storage and disaster recovery). SAM presents a standard UNIX file system interface to clients.
